Entry Requirements

  • To enrol in this Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology course, you must be at least 18 years old and have a level 4 qualification.
  • If you are an international student, equivalent qualifications include a high school diploma or other recognised pre-university qualifications. If you are a non-native speaker of English, you will need an IELTS score of 6.0, CEFR level B2, or equivalent.

This unit introduces you to the fundamentals of building dynamic web applications using C# in the ASP.NET framework. You will learn how to write and structure server-side code, create user-friendly interfaces, and connect web applications to databases through component-based programming. This unit provides essential knowledge for administering both Linux and Windows systems. The course covers key topics such as mobile e-commerce, online ticketing systems, and the psychological principles behind consumer behaviour in digital environments. You will also examine the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in areas like image recognition and personalization, as well as the growing influence of social commerce on consumer purchasing decisions. By the end of the unit, you will have developed a thorough understanding of how B2C e-commerce works and how businesses can leverage these tools for successful online consumer engagement.

Assessment

The course is delivered entirely online, allowing you to start at any time and study at your own pace. Each unit includes 40 hours of guided online learning, supplemented by an additional 30-50 hours of optional materials, such as recommended exercises, readings, digital resources, and self-assessment tasks.

To complete the course, you will need to submit 6 online assignments per unit, each ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 words.
